for about three years, we have been working together on the intersection of dance, music, and performance art. During this time, we’ve performed a wide variety of shows in diverse venues—museums, jazz clubs, galleries, libraries, a forge, etc. In close resonance with our audience, we have developed a shared repertoire of pieces, scenes, and games. Both individually as artists and as an ensemble, we maintain a pragmatic approach to the relationship between composition and improvisation in our work: fix as little as possible, but as much as necessary. Different artistic aspects can be more easily addressed through spontaneous dialogue or different forms of agreement. For our site-specific interdisciplinary improvisation, we’ve been using the format of scripted improvisation for some time now. With the Raumstaben Project, we’ve collaborated in various configurations over the past years. the current collaboration opens up possibilities for external time synchronization for our improvisation scripts through augmented reality. We are curious and excited to see how this will affect our artistic practice and look forward to this shared experience with our audience.
